• Lot Description
  Hand painted porcelain plaque depicting a lady in a period dress in a park (late 19th/Early 20th c.c.), in ormolu bronze repousse frame with hinged back support, overall 8-1/8" x 5-1/2"; plaque marked "Limoges CR / A France" and signed "J. Barbarey" on the back; mix metals backing is slide-in upward with hinged top bracket, frame backing plate marked "Pat. Oct. 29. 01 (for 1901) and frame marked "Pat. Sep. 14. 97 (for 1897).

  Condition

  Good, some wear to gilt finish, sporadic oxidation to the backing plate commensurate with age and use.
