The bottom section, shows a Chinese female interacting with her child's play. A right side (three) porcelain panel depicts a Chinese male outside in profile. The left side displays a female interacting with a long tail parrot. Porcelain panel above twelve, with turquoise dome in the urn shaped finial. Approximately 80 mm marked Japy Freres movement, striking of half and full hour. Spade type minute/hour hands. Elaborate gilt bronze case, with a mask above twelve, acanthus leaf elements along facia corners, with winged female form feet. Pendulum present, no winding key. Missing case back.
Condition
Clock will run intermittently on crutch, and chime; but will require a strip and clean, as well as adjustments to function properly. Detached foot needs screw and straightening.
