• Lot Description
  Of rectangular bombey shape ormolu bronze over Baccarat crystal glass vanity / jewellery lidded box, lavishly decorated with floral-foliate swags garlands, ribbons, acanthus leaf, laurel leaf and Neo Classical designs, top adorned with hand painted on bone under glass, depicting Duchess of Devonshire, after Thomas Gainsborough (British, B1727-1788) portrait, signed on the lower right. Provenance: old private collection, Pittsburgh, PA, by descent in the family to the current owner.

  Condition

  Very good antique condition, some wear to gilt dust and soils commensurate with age and use.
