  "Bear." Ink on rice paper, unsigned, framed under glaze in silver color frame, overall 23-7/8" x 19-7/8"; Chiura Obata's typewrite's personal note on the back. Provenance: old private collection, San-Francisco, CA; acquired from Obata's University of Berkley colleague, in Kensington, CA, in early 1990's, the latter had received it as a gift from the artist.
