• Lot Description
  Of bulbous form antique porcelain ginger jar, carved boxwood open work dome lid with lotus petals border, attached with silk cord antique carved amber finial, fashioned as stylised Buddha. Depicting in Famille Rose minute hand painted noble ceremonial procession with lads drawn wheel cart with a sitting nobble figure back towards us, two attendants with flowers ahead of the procession and one with jade chime with silk tassel closing the procession; a guard holding an official hat and ancient halberd and an announcer by the side. Offered on carved rosewood stand with lotus petals border (legs and stretcher detached, but present), apprx. 2" x 7-5/8" at the current state, with antique import stamp attached.

  Condition

  Very good overall antique condition, lid is a marriage, aperture at the bottom, stand's legs and stretcher detached, but present; original firing flaws, some wear and small losses commensurate with age and use.
