• Lot Description
  Very heavy cast bronze sculpture of Sudhana (Child of Wealth, acolyte of the bodhisattva Guanyin, goddess of Compassion), finished with gild highlights, minute exceptionally well hand chased blossoming floral motifs with lush foliage and butterflies, diaper pattern; raised on bronze lotus throne, each petal hand chased with elegant foliate design. Weighs overall 25 lb. <br> Provenance: old private collection of native Chinese collector since early 20th c.; by descent in the family to the current owner.

  Condition

  Good antique condition, very old losses to ribbons, sporadic wear to finish commensurate with age and use. Please see detail photos. Natural light photos are included.
