Considering a bumper harvest could be expected this year, I would rather leave the imperial court and live an ordinary yet virtuous life." (Note: 1. short distance between buildings and small bridges, aindrops falling from the tavern flag, and
the stream seem to merge with the green riverbank. The shadow of the flag appeared when clearing up, whilst someone was tuning his Sung (or Sheng/Sang, a Chinese polyphonic wind instrument). Now the sun is setting that I'm going back home, by riding my beloved Yu Cong (literally Jade Roan, native Chinese roan with bluish white hairs). (Note: This poem was created by Lu You, a famous patriotic poet, historian and court officer of the Southern Song Dynasty.)
