• Lot Description
  Chet Zar's art is a unique expression from the culmination of his experiences in the film industry. Chet's start was special effect makeup, moving on to movie prop characters. He is a self taught painter as well as skilled in visual arts. His style is referred to as "dark visual art", tapping into the popular theme of fantasized post apocalyptic realities. His art is highly reminiscent of contemporary tattoo art. Most of Zar's artworks are paintings, his bronzes being made in small quanties; thus they are the most prized examples of his creations. This artistic invention is titled "The dead Pope" , while visually dramatic, the art is empathetic to a large welcoming audience, as the art delves into the "shadow self" of humanity. Weighs 12 pounds.
