  "Portrait of John Bettesworth, LL,D. b. 1720 - d. 1779 Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster". Oil on canvas, not signed, inscribed upper left corner, in heavy carved gilt gessoed frame, overall 59-1/4" x 50-1/2".

  Condition

  Craquelure, relined, minor scattered inpainting covered by newer varnish layer, frame with some cracks and losses. Overall good.
