• Lot Description
  Black lacquered ladies' secretary, the lower part with a large, serpentine drawer, surmounted by a table with brass and faux boulle inlay. The top, of arched form, has an ornate scrolling mount, flanked by a brass urn shaped finial on either side. Below are two glass doors opening to an interior with a mirrored back and red fabric lined base. between the cabinet and the table are two small pull drawers. The secretary rests on four cabriole legs of which the front two are surmounted with mythological female forms.

  Losses to boulle throughout, splits and losses to lacquer, separation of mounts. Age wear.
