• Lot Description
  18k yellow gold case is decorated with niello geometric patterns and engine turning. The pen (dip variety) and pencil have a cabochon cut emerald and sapphire on the top gold caps. This piece was made for a gentleman to attach to the end of the watch chain as the counter weight to the watch. From the design this would appear to be from the 1910 - 1930 period. Hallmarked 18Kt Rf Casa Tow Circa 1910 - 1930. Total weight 20.4 gm.

  Condition

  The case is hallmarked 18Kt Rf Casa Tow. The case and gem set threaded pen and pencil tops were tested and are 18K with a total combined weight of approximately 13 grams. The ornate bale was tested as 15K gold filled and the total weight of the set is 20.4 grams. Metal content was tested with a Niton DXL precious spectral XRF analyzer. Presented in very good overall condition. Shows normal wear for age.
