  Calligraphy woodblock print scroll panel, framed with brocade silk border under glass in wooden frame, overall 18-1/8" x 60-3/4"; inscribed "Virtuous person of eastern regions (of Joseon)" and "Written by Ruan Tang or Wan Dang (the author’s art name)" with seals: "Kim Jeong-hui (the author’s Full name)" and "Ruan Tang or Wan Dang (the author’s art name)" (Note: Kim Jeong-hui (1786-1856) was a representative scholar of the late Joseon Dynasty, who exerted a great influence on Confucianism, epigraphy and arts in the 19th century). Provenance: Estate of Dr. Ye Yong Chun (Korean, 1910-1994), who served in the South Korean government, notably as Head of Civil Affairs in the Ministry of Education in 1944, Minister in Office of Governor-General of Korea, Vice Governor and Governor of Bank of Korea (1951-1961), Minister of Construction from (1964-1966), Chairman of Korean Branch of International LiONS Club, Chair of Korean International Law Association and Deputy Chair of Democratic-Republican Party; by descent in the family to current owner.
