• Lot Description
  Portrait of Prince Waldemar Christian of Denmark (1603-1647) as a Young Man. Oil on canvas, no signature found, later copy, possibly 18th century, of the original portrait by Justus Sustermans, which is in the collection of the Galleria Palatina (Palazzo Pitti) in Florence, in gilt frame, frame signed with "Cornelis van Janssens 1590-1662" overall 32-1/4" x 26-1/2".

  Condition

  Craquelure, some surface soils, relined, even under UV light, white paint scuff upper left, frame with prior repairs and losses. Good antique condition.
