  Portrait Of King Gustavus Adolphus II Of Sweden. Oil on canvas, inscribed to the upper right corner with monogram "AET 38 Aâ—¦ 1632" latin for "Age 38 Year 1632", the year the King died at what the artist thought was 38 years old, as he was one month away from his birthday, in contemporary gilt frame, overall 29" x 24".

  Condition

  Relined, craquelure, inpainting throughout to the areas of craquelure with heavier concentrations to the right of the jaw, the cheek, and the forehead, some surfaces soils, some old losses to pigments throughout. Please zoom into the photos for details.
