"Coming Through The Rye", originally created in 1902, posthumous cast diminutive sculpture bronze of four mounted cowboys, pistols raised aloft, keeping a steady pace in a tight, boisterous group, incised signature in the base "Frederic Remington".
This sculpture was inspired by the artist's own illustration published in "Century Magazine" in October 1888 and in “Harper’s Weekly†in December 1889. Attached to a white veined, black marble base.
Condition
Very good, some soils and dust.
