A hand made wooden clock case made by skilled hands, which originally had a pendulum type movement. It now has a full plate lever type escapement 7 jewel movement by Smiths, a Derby, England manufacturer. The movement swings out, held by a latch at three. The case is a depiction of a gatehouse for a castle. Rear door exit if you choose to install a pendulum type movement. The current dial is silver, arabic numerals for all chapters, with all hash marks on a continuous circle at the dials edge, bold at chapters. Blued breguet type minute/hour hands. A placard inside details a presentation in 1960, as well as the claim the case was made by a prisoner of war in 1870. View and Bid on AspireAuctions.com
