• Lot Description
  Vertical brushed silver dial with arabic numerals for all chapters, except for six with running seconds. and twelve the elapsed minutes register. There are a series of continuous circles with marks near the dials edge. The first above the chapter markers is 1/5 seconds. seconds and minute hash marks, bold at chapters. Below the previous scale is the telemeter scale in miles, and the tachymeter scale for speed. Blued sword type minute/hour hands, blued stick type independent sweep indicator, other two register use stick type blued markers. Round button at four, starts and stops independent sweep indicator. Button at two, resets independent sweep and elapsed minutes register below twelve. 17 jewel manual wind movement. Pierce used Valjoux, Landeron an Venus movements for this model. Stainless military style case. The Royal Air Force used the Pierce chronograph in various configurations for pilots and navigators. Non original strap.
