An early 20th-century rendition of a mid-Victorian Brooch. Classic center gem(opal) form, from which emerges radials of diamonds and fire opals. Opals set at four points of the compass. Dangling pear-shaped cabochon fire opal, mounted in an open gallery. A silver diamond inset galley surrounds the 7.5 mm center fire opal. These diamonds are uncut diamond crystals. The remainder of the I color SI clarity 1.2 cts of diamonds are mine-cut diamonds. Classic hinged and loop catch pinback. The gross weight is 13.1 grams.
