Oils, mixed media, cold wax on canvas.
Lifelong artist, from amateur to fulltime, studied in Old Lyme, Brussels, Cape Cod. Employ background in philosophy and Psychology to abstract artworks in oils and mixed media. Serious student of the American mid-century abstract/expressionist movement and the 20th C modernist influence in the Arts.
Working in oils with various secondary media, I paint without intent and without palette deliberation. Spontaneity is paired with patience, allowing the work to come to me, while challenging the temptation of the immediate idea.
