Mark Adams, Arts Foundation of Cape Cod's 2023 Artist of the Year
Through his art, Mark seeks to educate, inspire, and remind us of our connection to nature — and our shared responsibility to protecting the environment.
Mark uses his talent in a thoughtful manner to compel each of us to think deeper about who we are and ways we can preserve and protect this special place we call home.
Working in ink, watercolor, acrylic, and oil on wood, unstretched canvas, and sketchbook pages, Mark’s art straddles the line between science, art, exploration, and adventure. It’s no wonder his pieces, like Swim for Life Trio, moves viewers in profound ways, inviting us all to reflect on how we can be the best versions of ourselves. Mark is represented by the Schoolhouse Gallery, Provincetown. India ink on mylar film, 35" x 40".
“The most important thing for me is to connect with people, and sometimes the artwork connects with people in ways that I never imagined. And I’m happy with that. I love that. I love the surprise.” - Mark Adams
