Oil, cold wax, hardboard. Catherine Hess, a Wellfleetian, relishes painting a scene even as the sun, clouds, light and tides change. Her work is an effort to capture resulting transformations in colors, shapes and shadows of marshes, dunes and shorelines. She shows her work at a number of Cape galleries, art centers and museums.
