• Lot Description
  One of a kind, pieced vintage Japanese kimono silk straight skirt. The kimono fabrics are a very dark, almost black, navy sewn with various white silks. Fully lined with bemberg rayon, elastic waist, zipper and kick pleat in the back.

  Waist can stretch from 24 to 30 inches. Hips are 40 inches. [Approximate industry size 10 - 12] The side seam from the top of the waistband to the hem is 26 1/2 inches.

  Originally $485 the skirt is now 50% off at $240.

  All pieces are hand made one at a time in my Portland, Oregon studio. Fabrics are vintage Japanese silks. These very special fabrics were woven, stenciled, tie-dyed and painted by Japanese artisans. Many were still in the bolt on their way to become kimonos. Others had been sewn into kimonos but were no longer wearable. I remove the hand stitching, wash and prepare the fabrics for their new life. Each piece I make is unique, most are one of a kind. I ship USPS priority at the beginning of the week.
