Central Asia, Bactrian, ca. 2500 to 2250 BCE. A lovely necklace comprised of approximately 100 ancient agate stone beads, each hand carved, polished, and strung on a modern wire with a lobster clasp as a wearable piece! The long strand ascends from petite to larger beads and a central disc pendant of a creamy, striated agate in pink and white hues is strung at the center as the main focal point. The beads are varying shapes of bicone, ellipsoid, spherical, and barrel- each made from banded agate in earthen tones of black, browns, white, and pale pink. This collection of beads was strung in modern times with modern findings to be both lovely and wearable! Size (necklace strand): 34" L (86.4 cm); (central pendant): 1.6" Diameter (4.1 cm)
