Taylor XXX-BE 30th Anniversary Grand Concert Acoustic Guitar. Limited Edition #53 of 150. Made in 2004. Label is hand signed by Robert Taylor and Kurt Listug. In 2004, Taylor Guitars created only 150 XXX-BE Anniversary models, and this one is #53. Taylor's other anniversary models were released in editions of 250 - still limited but not as limited as the XXX-BE. What's more the XXX-BE has additional upgrades such as the abalone/paua shell purfling found on the top, sides, and back of the body, as seen on the Presentation Series, making it the only guitar of the Anniversary series to have that much shell trim! Furthermore, this is the only 30th Anniversary Taylor made with hand selected wood - Brazilian Rosewood to be precise. As if that weren't enough, it has an engraved pearl and gold 30th anniversary inlay between the 12th to 18th frets as well as a stunning pearl floral inlay on the back of the headstock. Quite a beauty, this XXX-BE comes with its original hard case and accessories, including a Taylor leather strap. Special Specs: gloss natural finish, double ivoroid bound grand concert size body, Engelmann spruce top, extensive abalone top, back and side purfling, closely bookmatched Brazilian rosewood back and sides, 14-fret mahogany neck, 20 fret ivoroid bound ebony fretboard, engraved pearl and gold 30th anniversary inlay between 12th to 18th frets, slotted headstock, ebony headstock overlay and backstrap, 3-on-a-plate engraved tuners with ivoroid buttons, pearl floral inlay on back of headstock, ebony bridge with fossil ivory saddle.
