Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 2nd century CE. A gorgeous blue-green glass bottle, its translucent rectangular body mold-blown to an even squared profile, although with graceful rounded corners and edges, a short cylindrical neck, and a thick planar rim. The stable base is supported with four integral nubbin feet, and the central circle displays a beautiful pair encircled of intersecting lines in low relief. Adding to its striking aesthetic is the meticulously-ribbed, wide trail handle bringing shoulder to neck. A marvelous form boasting lovely turquoise hues and fabulous areas of silvery and rainbow-hued iridescence. Size: 2.25" W x 7.375" H (5.7 cm x 18.7 cm).
