Ancient Near East, Sumer, ca. 3rd to 2nd millennium BCE. A beautiful set of wearable earrings with cylindrical and barrel-shaped faience beads in hues of pale green, blue, and white. Suspended at the bottom of each trio of modern oxidized sterling silver chains are spherical garnet beads, and beneath each modern French hook is another garnet sphere. Strung in modern times, this is a lovely example of ancient art meets modern fashion! Size of each (both are relatively similar): 3" H (7.6 cm); quality of sterling silver: 92.5% or higher.

Strung in modern times and wearable as shown. Faience and garnet beads are ancient, and chains and French hooks are modern. Small abrasions and nicks to some faience beads, with light encrustations, and fading to original coloration, otherwise intact and very good. Light earthen deposits on some faience beads.
