A lovely pendant depicting an abstract avian creature that is hand-carved from mottled forest-green stone with cream and light green inclusions. The trapezoidal figure features a blade-shaped lower body, a protruding chest with a V-shaped neckline, and a rectangular head with a string-cut eye, forehead, and beak. The stone is set within a modern, form-fitting 93.6% sterling silver setting with a suspension bale on top, and a modern necklace strand enables this to be worn with any ensemble! Wearable as shown and constructed in modern times. Greenstone pendant is ancient; sterling silver setting and necklace cord are modern. Minor abrasions to pendant, otherwise intact and excellent. Great surface smoothness throughout.
