Ancient Western North America, Mesozoic era, ca. 252 to 66 million years ago. A fossilized dinosaur bone that has been set in a silver pendant bezel as a wearable piece. The bone is highly polished, to reveal the mesmerizing layers of yellow, red, black, and creamy semi-opaque striations on the glassy surface. The sterling silver setting is a custom shape to compliment the bone - an open verso with a thick lip encircling the bone and two wires across the front for added interest. Four faceted and colorless diamonds are set into a triangle on the center edge, and a single diamond near the upper corner. This unique pendant is strung on a cord with a lobster clasp and is ready to wear. The colors of the bone are remarkable, and nearly unimaginable it was once a living dinosaur! Size of pendant: 2.24" L x 1.45" W (5.7 cm x 3.7 cm); cord: 21" L (53.3 cm); silver quality 92%; weight: 40 grams

Condition
Bone is highly polished on frontside and has a few chips on the verso that are not visible when worn and do not affect presentation. Bone is set in a modern bezel and strung on a cord as a wearable necklace. Great condition and colors!
