Ancient Seas, Lower Cambrian to late Permian, ca. 520 to 250 million years ago. This is a gorgeous and wearable bracelet featuring 6 fossilized trilobites set in modern sterling silver bezels. These trilobites are of the Proetida genus, and have the "classic" trilobite ovoid shape, with the headshield flush against the side. The surface is a lustrous black and gray with the ridges of the thorax segments and slight bump of the eye facets nicely preserved. Each fossil has an open bezel, showing some of the underside of these "sea bugs." A silver toggle clasp adjusts the size and makes this bracelet a wearable piece of prehistoric jewelry. Size of bracelet: 8.5" L x 1" W (21.6 cm x 2.5 cm); average trilobite: 1" L x 0.65" W (2.5 cm x 1.7 cm); silver quality: 92%; weight: 26.8 grams
