A vibrant print by an American contemporary artist who is best known for his Neo-Expressionist works and his renderings of stunning tropical birds. The bird imagery is oftentimes inspired by his own aviary, tending anywhere between 30 and more than 100 birds of many species at any point in time. This composition features a mesmerizing ensemble flora and fauna including a goose or duck in profile, a tiger, the spotted coat of a leopard, a horned ram, various tropical flowers, as well as an Egyptian mask. Slonem studied at Tulane University and the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. His works may be found in the permanent collections of 250 museums around the world, including the Solomon R.
