Included in this scene of Rockwell's hometown for the final 25 years of his lifetime the scene are The Red Lion Inn, established in 1773 as a stagecoach stop, which was always a social hub for the town of Stockbridge; Norman Rockwell's home and studio located on South Street and depicted at the far right border; a Christmas tree all aglow in a window above the market belonging to a room that was Rockwell's studio from 1953 to 1957; and The Old Corner House, which would become the site of the first Norman Rockwell Museum two years after the painting was completed at the left border of the painting.

Condition
This print has not been examined outside the frame but appears to be in very good vintage condition with slight toning to margins of print. Rockwell's handwritten signature is vivid. Frame is in good condition.
