A lovely and matched pair of beautiful Roman earrings of 91.06% to 94.6% gold (equivalent to 21K+ to 22K+); each one is a comprised of gold sheets folded to create a hollow crescent-shaped hoop. The terminal tips taper to a thin wire that once formed the original hook that passed through the earlobe - now these wires permanently wrap around themselves. The earrings are fitted with modern 14K gold-plated sterling silver hooks, as wearable ancient jewelry! The petite hoops are both elegant and simple enough for everyday wear.
