A wonderful carnelian intaglio hand-carved with the image of a nude warrior, wounded and kneeling behind his shield, set in a gold ring of over 21 karats. Facing left, the figure carries a spear over his shoulder and holds his shield with one hand as several weapons jut out from his back and torso.
