Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom, strategic warfare, and crafts, held a place of high importance in Roman society and its artistic representations. Often equated with the Greek Athena, she was a central figure in the Capitoline Triad alongside Jupiter and Juno. Depictions of Minerva in Roman art commonly portray her as a dignified and powerful figure. She is frequently shown wearing a helmet, symbolizing her association with warfare and strategic thinking. She often carries a spear, representing her readiness for battle, and sometimes a shield or a wreath. These attributes emphasize her roles as both a protector and a symbol of victory and honor. As an important Roman goddess, she was highly revered, honored, and respected.
