East Asia, China, Qing Dynasty, ca. 19th century CE. A spectacular matching pair of cloisonne enamel and copper side tables or pedestal stands. Each features a rounded apron supporting a circular tabletop, adorned with intricate archaic style scrollwork, floral chrysanthemum / peony motifs, and stylized fu bats - auspicious symbols believed to bring harmony and fortune to the household. The four elegantly curved legs are mounted to a circular base, providing both stability and aesthetic balance. Possibly used originally as stands for incense burners, these exquisite pieces exemplify the artistry and craftsmanship of Qing Dynasty cloisonne furniture. Condition
Both are antique condition with surface wear, but overall good conditions. Staining / white oxidation to the surface of apron edge on one. Pitting and abrasions to enamel. Dark toning and patina to metal. Enamel has a high lead content.
