Western Europe, Neoclassical Period, ca. 19th century CE. A sumptuous pendant of circular form, shaped from 83.19% gold, with a rope-twist border surrounding dozens of petite prongs. Within the prongs is a hand-carved, vermilion-hued agate cameo featuring an opaque white Janiform head with a youthful, left-facing visage, an older, right-facing countenance of a man with a lengthy beard, and a third face of an older man facing skyward above the 2 lateral faces. A suspension loop above the trio enables this pendant to be worn via a modern necklace cord.
