One of Michael Godard's most outstanding martini-themed pieces, featuring a beautiful blue version of the delicious cocktail, complete with three olives floating in the elegant glass, and a winged angel sitting on the rim as plumes of magical, misty vapor emanate from the festive drink. This festive piece creates a fascinating illusion that the imagery projects into the viewer's space and also set in a stunning custom frame. Michael Godard attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California and also studied fine art at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas. Godard is an internationally successful artist who has been dubbed the "Rock Star of the Art World" for his top selling status as well as his jet black hair and striking tattoos. His works have been collected by musicians, celebrities, as well as everyday folks. A documentary about Godard's life won awards when it was shown on the independent film festival circuit, and his book "Don’t Drink and Draw: The Life and Art of Michael Godard" (2006) chronicling his life story from troubled childhood to successful artist won the prestigious Art Book of the Year award.
In 2006, Godard lost his sixteen-year-old daughter to brain cancer, and he has dedicated himself to raising funds for medical research ever since. According to Godard, "The funds I help raise save lives and at the end of the day, it's the most important thing I do." According to Park West Gallery, "Godard’s artwork has been shown and collected all over the world. His artwork is on permanent display in the Officer’s Lounge in the Pentagon and on board every U.S. Navy aircraft carrier. Godard is an active philanthropist and has been honored by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for his dedication to fighting childhood cancer." In addition, Godard has created exclusive guitar designs for the lead guitarist of the band Guns n’ Roses as well as album covers, book covers, and sculptures for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
