North America, United States, mid 20th century. A matching pair of American folk art side tables, each one hand-carved and hand-painted, with an endearing figure holding up a round tray. The figures are so endearing, with stylized bodies embellished with colorful red, blue, and yellow clothing, including double buckled belts, and expressive visages comprised of wide-open eyes, raised brows, stubby noses, and bucky teeth. A fabulous pair - sure to add a bit of flair to any room and serve as wonderful conversation pieces! Size: 16.375" W x 24.75" H (41.6 cm x 62.9 cm) (one table is ever so slightly taller and wider - about a half inch difference for each dimension)
Please note: We have seen one of these tables - just one rather than a pair - listed for almost 3 times our reserve!

Condition
Expected surface wear commensurate with age, but both still show with wonderful color. A few age cracks and repairs to limbs; however, both stand nicely and will still hold snacks and beverages!
