Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Middle Miocene to end of Pliocene eras, ca. 23 to 2.6 million years ago. This incredible 5.9 inch (15 cm) megalodon shark tooth is a premium fossil specimen from one of the ocean's most legendary predators! Featuring a rare light beige coloration with beautiful mottled gray patterns, this tooth is visually striking. The serrations remain intact, showcasing the razor-sharp cutting edge that made the Megalodon a formidable hunter. Megalodon teeth from Indonesia are known for their unique and diverse coloration due to the mineral composition of the sediment they fossilized in. Unlike the darker gray or black teeth commonly found in the U.S. (like from South Carolina or Florida), Indonesian Megalodon teeth often feature lighter shades of beige, cream, tan, and even mottled patterns with gray, orange, or bluish hues. Size: 5.9" L x 4.8" W (15 cm x 12.2 cm); 6.75" H (17.1 cm) on included custom stand.
