A fabulous ensemble of 77 hand-knapped stone arrowheads exhibiting pentagonal, triangular, isosceles triangular, triangular stemmed, triangular bifurcated, and triangular notched forms. Presenting hues of pink, brown, tan, beige, cream, grey, black, and white, these well-preserved points were made by various cultures of southwestern Virginia. Some of the types in this collection include: Pee Dee, Garden Creek, Ebenezer, Ely's Ford, Calvert, Le Croy, Lake Erie, Nolichucky, Clarksville, Ecusta, Kanawha, Iddens, Potts, Zekiah Swamp, St. Albans, State Farm, MacCorkle, Savage Cave, Autauga, Damron, Rowan, Pigeon, and Holston. Condition
Mounted in a modern wooden and glass case. Shifting to a few points within frame. Losses to fines, necks and heads. Nicks/chips to peripheries commensurate with age and use. Otherwise, very nice.
