Greece, Hellenistic, ca. 3rd century BCE to early 2nd century CE. A lovely ensemble of three mold-made terracotta heads. The first head displays an ovoid visage with heavy-lidded eyes, a straight nose, and full lips, all topped by luscious locks of hair beneath a modius, suggesting that this figure is likely a deity. Supported by an elongated neck, the second head is the largest of the three and depicts a youth, exhibiting annular eyes, an arched brow, a flat nose, and gently parted lips. This round visage is capped with a bulbous coiffure of thick, wavy hair. The last and smallest head appears to belong to a child wearing a thick headband over straight hair. The boyish visage presents a prominent brow, almond-shaped eyes, a pointed nose, and a closed mouth. Size: 1.375" W x 2.25" H (3.5 cm x 5.7 cm); 3" H (7.6 cm) on included custom stand.

Condition
All are fragments of larger pieces and have included custom stands. Largest has two miniscule hairline surface fissures on back of head. Modern adhesive on base of smallest head in order to secure it to stand. All have expected softening of detail, abrasions, and nicks as shown, commensurate with age. Otherwise, all are very nice with rich earthen deposits throughout.
