Native American, Southwestern United States, Navajo tribe, ca. early to mid 20th century CE. A pair of stunning necklaces. The first, a beautiful set of 49 turquoise barrel beads boasting vibrant shades of robin's egg and sky blues adorned with black and cream striations. The stone beads are arranged in graduating size and feature three lovely teardrop-form heishi shells at the necklace's center, as well as seven modern high quality (93%) silver beads of spherical form on either side. Ten spherical brass beads follow the silver beads on both sides, leading to the necklace's hook on one side and its loop on the other. The second necklace is comprised entirely of hand-carved barrel heishi shell beads in varying hues of cream, black, russet, pale yellow, tortoise shell, and sea foam green. Also with beads that graduate towards the center of the strand, the second necklace displays a hook and loop at its ends, allowing it to be wearable. Two fabulous adornments, perfect for any occasion!
