- Lot Description
Europe, Continental, ca. 19th century CE. A delightful hand-carved ivory carving of a gentleman in 17th-century dress featuring a ruff collar, a broad-brimmed hat, a doublet, breeches, and boots. Perhaps once adorning a handle, his face features a musketeer beard with a full moustache and trimmed goatee as he looks up to his right, grasping for his sword at his side as though ready step forth and shout "En garde!" Size: 0.7" L x 1" W x 2.8" H (1.8 cm x 2.5 cm x 7.1 cm)
This is an ESA antique exempt piece of ivory and cannot be sold internationally or to anyone residing in the states of California, Hawaii, Illinois, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Washington.
