**First Time At Auction**
Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Jamacoaque (Jama Coaque) culture, ca. 500 CE. A hollow-molded pottery female figure standing atop broad feet with both hands held with open palms beside her waistline. The woman dons a knee-length skirt and dons a thick collar surmounted by a pendant necklace that drapes between her bared breasts. Her circular countenance features large, semicircular eyes, a nose adorned with a huge nose ring, a rectangular plug beneath her bottom lip, and slender ears, all framed within lengthy lappets draped from her minimalist cap. Painted in hues of orange, pink, and yellow, this is a fine figure from ancient Ecuador! Size: 4.375" W x 7.75" H (11.1 cm x 19.7 cm)

Condition
Repair to proper left headdress lappet, with very small chips and light adhesive residue along break lines. Minor abrasions and fading to pigment, with light encrustations, and softening to some finer details particularly on hands and arms. Smooth surface texture on face.
