Ancient Seas, Middle Miocene to end of Pliocene eras, ca. 28 to 1.5 million years ago. A fine set of 3 fossilized teeth from the prehistoric Megalodon shark, one of the most feared hunters of the ancient seas. The first tooth has a lustrous black enamel beneath an uneven root. The second tooth features a khaki-hued enamel with several vertical striations as well as dozens of tactile serrations, a glossy upper enamel with a soil brown hue, and a root that exhibits a chocolate brown color. The largest tooth also has a lustrous black enamel with large, gray sections visible along the verso, and the V-shaped root is of an even form. Size of largest (black enamel): 2.6" W x 3.1" H (6.6 cm x 7.9 cm); 3.4" H (8.6 cm) on included custom stand.

Condition
Enamel of largest tooth repaired from roughly 3 pieces, with expertly executed resurfacing along break lines to make them appear nearly invisible. Loss to one root tip of smaller black tooth as shown. Khaki tooth has small chips to peripheries of enamel and root. All teeth have minor abrasions and light pitting to roots. Nice luster throughout.
