Gold Lotus-Palmette/Acorn Pendant: Greek, ca. 350 to 330 BCE. Other elements: Roman, Imperial period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A collection of Classical jewelry components: two delicate earrings made from coiled strips of 20 karat gold, a hammered 20 karat gold sheet medallion, and a 20 karat gold lotus-palmette (acorn-shaped) pendant on a modern string with ancient multi-colored faience seed beads and four cylindrical 20 karat gold sheet beads. The Greek lotus-palmette/acorn pendant is particularly fine with marvelous details and granulation, as are the Roman earrings. Size of medallion: 1.75" W (4.4 cm); size of earrings: 0.5" W (1.3 cm); size of acorn pendant: 0.4" W x 1.05" H (1 cm x 2.7 cm); medallion is 0.4 grams; earrings (together) are 1.0 grams; acorn pendant is 4.0 grams
Note how the gold lotus-palmette/acorn pendant on this piece is quite similar to those featured in this Western Greek necklace in the British Museum. As described by the curatorial team, "The lotus-palmettes consist of cut-out double palmettes with enclosing lotus leaves and a rosette in the centre." - https://www.britishmuseum.org/research/collection_online/collection_object_details/collection_image_gallery.aspx?assetId=102542001&objectId=463142&partId=1
