Pre-Columbian, Southern Mexico to Guatemala, Maya, Classic Period Ca. 300 to 500 AD, A beautiful emerald-green jade pendant carved and string cut in the form of the maize god with distinctive locks of striated hair on the brow and a collar necklace. The stone is set into a contemporary gold ring by designer Janet Hallenberg using the original ancient, drilled suspension holes to incorporation gold balls as earspools. In excellent condition! Size of jade: 1.25" L (3.2 cm); US ring size: 7.5
