Framed Temptations window card poster printed on cardstock, red on white bold font, 1960s. A very rare concert poster for the Temptations, the Motown sensation known for their smooth harmonies, slick choreography, and stylish outfits. The performance was at The Baja Club in Denver, Colorado (located at 14th and Stout) in the 1960s, dating to the Classic Five era of this legendary group. The sign entices potential patrons by mentioning hits, including the unforgettable "My Girl" - and also endearingly notes the ticket prices - $2.50 in advance and $3.00 at the door! Size (this includes poster and frame; poster edges go to the sides of the frame): 14.2" W x 22.5" H (36.1 cm x 57.2 cm)
This poster dates to the 'Classic Five' era of the Temptations, featuring members Otis Williams, Eddie Kendricks, Paul Williams, David Ruffin and Melvin Franklin. The Classic Five era was the most successful period of the Temptations' career, including classics such as their first number 1 hit "My Girl". Also exciting, the "Classic Five" were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1989.
