A lyrical view of the dunes of Puquio in Central Peru by contemporary Cuban-American photographer Mario Algaze - part of his Latin American panorama series. Award-winning Algaze left Cuba and relocated to Miami, Florida in 1960. The vibrant Latino culture of Miami inspired him to travel to Central and South America where he was a photojournalist for various national and international publications. Algaze studied art at Miami Dade College in the 1970s and has used his talent to explore his heritage as well as the lands and people of other cultures. Condition
Archival matting and framing. Purportedly signed on the verso. We have not examined the photograph outside the frame but it appears to be in excellent condition. Previous owner acquired these from a gallery that represented Mario Algaze's work.
