USA Domestic: 12/14 for Standard; 12/23 for Express; International: 12/7 for Standard; 12/19 for ExpressDavid Foley (American, b. 1954), "Shadowed Aspen", watercolor, signed at lower right, ca. 1999. David Foley's remarkable command of the watercolor medium draws you into his closeup view of an Aspen grove with a few evergreens interspersed - their trunks and foliage brought right up to the picture plane and brilliantly cast in slight shadows as bright yellow sunlight glistens through their forms - a dramatic use of light and shadow that helps our eyes move through the painting. The painstaking attention to details, the intensity of color, as well as the play of light and shadow make for an almost photorealistic experience. Size: 38" L x 26.5" W (96.5 cm x 67.3 cm); 50" L x 38.75" W (127 cm x 98.4 cm) framed
